19 wks - New "house" and some fishin'

The time has come to get a new "house"- ya think!!  Poor fellow has been a trooper while we shopped around.  He never minded going in the kennel, he always went in when first told, almost before you could finish saying it.  I think he will miss it (I know Pete would try to get in it, and would just lay his head inside because he was too big for his body to fit).

TADA!!!   What a mansion - look at that space!  He can run laps in that thing :)  Tim did say he didn't want to go in it this morning, but when we got home he stood up and just stretched so big - still in the kennel - big improvement!  We will give him a few days to get use to it, and then we are moving it out of the kitchen- it is just a little large :)  Plus, there is a plug behind him and that makes me very nervous.
He thinks we're just fishin'....
We have only fished in our pond a handful of times.  I personally have never been fishing, in our pond that is, and we have lived here 10 yrs!  I am a little shocked to realize that.  So me and Tim decided to pull out the ole rod and reels and see what we could catch!  A lot of fun is what we caught!  (I won by catching the most - yep, bread only).  Landry had fun running in and out of the water, chasing bugs, and looking for fish.  He never tried swimming, so maybe in time he will.  This picture is of him checking out my bream. This was my 2nd and smallest one- you may can't see it. We have some really good size bream:) Maybe good for eating one day - hard to think of eating them, after working so hard on getting them to survive, grow and multiply.  Landry didn't know what to think of that fish- this is catching him between barks!  I have some video if I can figure that out.

Ok.....here is the first attempt to post a video! I have NO idea what I am doing.  If you have tips ~ please share :)

18 wks

or 126 days or 4 months 6 days or 3 yrs 8months in human years.
However you want to say it - this puppy is just growing up too fast!
OK - some of my pictures are not so clear!  If you could only see the activity that goes on behind these shots!  The minute I scoot back to take the picture he comes to me.  Hard to get him to stay still - if he sits still, he is waving his arm or moving it up and down- telling me something I'm sure!

Caught Landry being sneaky! He was thinking maybe, just maybe, Tim wouldn't notice if he joined him on the couch for a nap. (and thought I already left the house- glad I turned around before I shut the door)

This isn't a great picture, but wanted to tell you how he always plays with his feet on the couch. And he will push off and scoot across the floor, at least 3 feet! Never seen anything like it! If you wonder why there is always a pillow on the floor, it's because I still sit on the floor about 80% of the time now! Landry likes to lay on it too!

Some of his cat like moves....

He is a curious little thing.  If you thought Pete was bad about getting between you and what ever you are doing - Landry is 10x worse!!  We pulled out the circular saw the other day to cut a piece of wood, and thinking he would be scared to death of the sound and run to the house - OH NO, he ran right up too it! Scared us to death! Tim shut it off real quick- which that startled Landry- then had to constantly tell him no while we took 2 minutes top to cut the board- that bothered him, so he ran to the house then.  Geez...

We have had a busy week with lots of first!
On Saturday, we burned the woods beside the house.

Landry did a good job making sure the fire didn't get out of control.

It was also his first day wearing "Mr. DoBetter" and I'm glad to report that he didn't need to be corrected on his behavior at all!

He was pooped when it was all said and done!

Tim and Landry relaxing after a hard days work!
Landry enjoying his first walk on the bike trail!  Can't you see the excitement on his face! He loved it. He jogged with me, than we ran, and a couple of times we sprinted too!         I usually just jog.

Week Summary:
* He still will not go outside to the "bathroom" by himself.  He will act like he is, but if you don't follow him, he will come right back in to get you!
* Also, if he is playing outside and you are inside - he will come check on you often to make sure you are where he left you! and if you move, he will hunt you down.
* He had his last puppy shot today... a bit sad that he is growing up so fast. Interesting fact.  He gains an average of .318 lbs a DAY!
* I never have my camera when I need it.  The other day Tim was outside and I was downstairs, so just like Pete, he laid down in the middle of our locations - at the top of the stairs! But Landry was draped down over the top step - hard to explain and totally looked uncomfortable, front legs and head one step lower than body!! Boy's nuts!
* Speaking of nuts ~this dog is limber and a bit clumsy! He flops everywhere, he will fall totally backwards, lean on your legs and flip over them.  He doesn't ever seem to mind, he just rolls with it!  Cracks us up!
* Also, he stares at his reflection in the oven door window.  He sits there awhile every night. Just staring :)

16 wks! Sleep overs! Birthday wishes!

 Big ole

Happy Birthday

shout out to

Maeghan & Brayden!
~ a day late - I know- sorry ~

(he wouldn't wear his party hat I made him- imagine....)

Landry and MEMA survived their visit together!  What was going to be a 3 1/2 day visit, turned into a 5 1/2 day visit!!  Mom's a trooper for sure and deserves an award of some sort for being a great Granddogma!  I know they bonded and it was a special time for them both :) I just know it.

I really do want to thank mom for keeping him so we could go visit Luke before he deploys.  We had a great time together, and are counting down the days til he returns.  Love you LUKE!

Landry did get this great new green ball from Mema's house.  He loves it!  It bounces everywhere.  He can kick it, throw it, make it scoot across the floor a long way- just endless hours of play!!  It is a good thing too, because we have lost the red ball again. Easy come, easy go!

Week Summary:
* Stills gets the hiccups almost every day
* Loves drinking water out of the shower.  He doesn't mind if the shower is running or not!  I was in the shower the other day, and in walks Landry, he circles around- and back out he goes!! What the.....haha- crazy dog!
* He is about 20 inches tall (floor to back- standing). Not sure how much he weighs- but boy he seemed to get big the days we were gone!  He is loosing his loose skin- this is sad.  I keep thinking if I pull on his skin it will stay loose!  I can tell I missed 5 days of stretching :)
* We are still working on walking with a leash.  He doesn't flop around like a fish out of water now - so progress! Now he just pulls on it, like tug of war.....
                                 ......more to come........

Going to Mema's house!!

Landry will get to go to his very first sleepover ~ to his Mema's house! I sure hope they both survive :)

Notice his bag is monogrammed! Ok ~ it is really Luke's bag.  BUT just like the Wheel of Fortune's Before/After puzzle - this monogram can also stand for "Tom Landry / Landry White"! How about that!  I don't want Landry to feel slighted, because Pete did have his very own bag with his name on it. I came to realize they really only need a bag when they are young ~ so, Landry gets to use Luke's. I'm sure he's cool with that.

Lazy Weekend

Landry didn't feel so good this weekend, not sure why, but seems to be over it now.  Maybe he just needed a super lazy weekend!  Saturday, he let me sleep late and woke me up at 6:30! Whoop!  But after getting  me up, he curled up in my lap and sleep for over 1 1/2 hours!!! Nice!  Sure WISH I could have done that :)

But look at how sweet he looks!  Awwweee - precious :)
