14 weeks today!
Notice Landry has his paw on his ball (lost but now found!) It was a good thing too, because we were cooped up in the house all weekend! It has rained and rained and rained some more- and the good news is that it filled the pond up!!!! It has been a long time since it has been this high. Now I hope it holds.
I never mentioned any of his markings. On top of his head he, appropriately, has a L! Now looking from his back when he is sitting up it is a 7. Luke y'all are soul brothers :)

27.5 lbs!!!
Well~ we went back to the vet today (for his rabies shot), and he has gained 7.3 more pounds!!! It has been 21 days since his last weigh in. I haven't felt like I could actually see him grow this time around, so I was surprised it was as much. He is now 17 1/2 to 18 inches tall. That's almost 5 inches taller in the month of February alone! (measuring from ground to back) I wish I had measured his chest. But I guess one can get crazy with all that :) - what? who me? never! We go back for more shots in 3 weeks- I know you will be sitting on the edge of your seat :)
His newest thing is to drag something around. It started off with a shirt that Tim lets him sleep with at night. He loves to drag it around and throw it and toss it, and bark and growl at it! Then he added the towel that stays in the kennel, then it was an oriental rug I have in the bedroom (not cool). But last night he had flipped over his bed, dragged it across the bedroom all the way to the stairs!! I guess he wanted it in the living room with us, but didn't know how to get it up the stairs! Then I caught him today trying to drag it again! Brother...
He had really struggled the night before trying to get his shirt up the stairs, he made it all the way to the top step and gave up - it took a long time and took a lot of energy, so no complaints from the parents :)
Bad news is we have lost his BALL!!! This is a great ball and he loved it! I am puzzled at where it is - but I think I am the only one concerned - go figure. Hopefully during this rainy weekend inside, we will find it.

13 weeks!
13 weeks old today!
week summary:
* His behavior has been much better! This dog can get wild tho :) One day we will get it on video.
* Last week Tim and I both experienced his reaction to getting popped on the nose. Tim had told me about it, then a couple of days later he just would not stop being aggressive, so I popped him on the nose - I promise it was NOT hard. Well, he had the same reaction Tim had described. He jumped back at least 1 foot, put his paw on his nose and rubbed it while whimpering and looking at you like you have just done the most awful thing in the world - THEN he left and went to his bed in the bedroom, and didn't come back! Of course Tim waited and said after about 10 min he walked back in slowly and sat near Tim -until Tim made the first move to apologize. ME, on the other hand, felt awful and didn't won't him to feel rejected (oh wait, was it me who didn't won't to feel rejected), so I went down there after waiting about 2 min - well maybe 1 min (or less) it felt like an eternity, and he TURNED his head away from me!!! Until I loved on him and he forgave me. MAN, THIS DOG KNOWS SOME QUILT TRIPPIN!!! It was a small pop on the nose- a swear!
* He still is doing great on house training, learning to get in the kennel with out being told when Tim leaves for work, sleeping all night (out of the kennel), sitting, working on the shaking hands, pretty good on staying - still needs work on the "here" command, and when I say "NO" I mean it :)
Friday we go back to the vet for a shot - we will see how much he weighs too.

The weekend:
Hanging with Pa by the fire!
This is the life :)
He finally got to meet his girl cousins!!! OH they had a good time! He loved playing with them and was wild while they were here. When they left - he slept for a couple of hours! Girls please come back to visit - any time!!
I might should have attempted pictures when he wasn't quite so excited (but that was 99% of the time they were here).

12 weeks old

Talking to me the whole time- he didn't want to sit still and take a picture!
Wut up
This has to be the best picture ever!
Can you feel the love?!!
Sunday night about 12:30 am a thunderstorm come up with really loud thunder! Landry was not sure about all this. So Tim laid down with him- on his dog bed! Tim said that Landry jumped every time it thundered! but, Tim stayed with him until he calmed down and feel asleep. Now that man has a big heart! Me and Landry are some lucky folks :)
Taking a stroll.
Saturday we HAD to do some yard work - we only had a TON of limbs and small sticks to pick up!! And I'm not kidding when a say a ton. Well, Landry had a BLAST!!! He would get on the limbs with pine needles still on and ride them in like a surf board riding a wave! He loved it! If he wasn't doing that, then he was trying to pull the big sticks out of your hand - and many times he succeeded :) He played and "worked" all day - no rest. When we went in at 6:00pm - he was done - fell out and sleep the rest of the night.
Summary for the week:
* It was a week of corrections - His "playing" had become a bit too rough and aggressive- so I feel like we spent the week correcting this! He is better now - still loves to bite your hands!! ugg
* He was playing SO crazy the other day - running around the house like a wild man, playing and slinging toys - it was hilarious - next thing I know he makes a lap around the living room, dining room, thru the kitchen and lands sitting by me on the sofa!!!! I know he flew in the air and landed there. I am so sorry no ones sees these things but me :) Oh, did I mention that no rug in the house was not crooked, twisted, or bunched up! OH HE HAD FUN!
* and the stomping and thumping- no trotting! He is the loudest walker I have ever heard - sounds like a horse!! Inside it sounds like stomping, but outside one the grass - it sounds like a thumping/trotting! Ever been able to hear a dog walk on grass?? It's odd - like a horse - seriously!

Cousin Chloe!
Saturday we went to visit our cousin Chloe. What a cutie she is! She is a King Cavalier Spaniel and is 4 months old. And she can RUN, make that FLY! She ran circles around Landry. They were so cute when they first met - she wasn't to fond of Landry, and he was just pure curious of her, as long as she didn't get to close! It took a while for them to warm up and begin playing. Playing consisted of Chloe running and Landry chasing her. As long as Landry didn't touch her, things were good. There was some barking, crawling, whining, yelping, and loving going on! TOO CUTE these two :)
11 wks old
11 weeks old today! Some how I got off count - but I got it right now :) Here's some updates on Landry:
* We took our last bath in the kitchen sink today - he is just too big. I can't say he loves a bath, but he tolerates it.
* Last night he was extremely hyper, but it was time for bed. He usually settles down before now, but this night he was wired. I wasn't sure how or what he was going to do, but we told him to go lay on his bed and go to sleep. Well, after a couple times telling him this (and us trying not to get tickled at his huffs and puffs), he finally slowed down enough to lay down - and lo and behold if he didn't fall asleep and slept all night! We were shocked!
* In the morning, he wakes up the minute he hears my alarm and is ready to go out. (Anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE to snooze- several times-and it takes me several seconds, make that many seconds or minutes, of the alarm buzzing before I turn it off - but he has me jumping out of bed on the first beep).
* He is learning to sit on command and to stay - as long as you don't make it too long of a stay.
* He still enjoys his sticks, but now loves the pine cones! Who would want to chew on a pine cone!?!
* He always tries to bring in his findings from outside: sticks, pine cones, left over cotton from field, bark- you name it, he tries it.
* He likes for me to keep the sliding glass door open so he can come and go as he pleases. Only problem is, he can't really tell when the door is closed, so he has run into it several times! NUT
It has been another successful week in the Life of Landry! What a sweety!!!

20.2 lbs!
We went to the vet yesterday and Landry weighed 20.2 lbs! Just 2 weeks and 3 days ago he weighed 13.2. That's 7lbs!!! I knew he was growing fast. We go back to the vet on the 22nd for more shots, wonder how much he will weigh then.
Here's some pictures to show off his cuteness :)
This is when we first got him.
~ January 12th ~
First week home :)
Look how small he was - what a cutie
LOVE this puppy ! ! !
Starting to play with his ball - this is when he was 8 to 9 wks old.
Taken this week, look at how long his legs are getting.
Pure sweetness
Playing under my legs- running back and forth under them.

Is this not the cutest thing you have ever seen? Have I mentioned lately how much I love this dog!
Who couldn't love this face :)
these pictures are when he is 9-10 wks old
One of his favorite things to do - tugging on my pants! Also, he loves to grab hold of my ankle while I'm walking or running (he literally wraps his paws around and he has a strong grip!)- he is going to trip me up one of these days.
